An unusually hardy summer growing Tritonia from the Cape Floral Kingdom, with bright pink flowers from July to September. Plants grow to a good height of 50-80cm with the flowers suspended on wiry stems. They look striking growing in groups in a border or in pots, and alongside Dierama and ornamental grasses. Their wiry stems wave around appealingly in the wind.
Tritonia prefer sun and well-drained soil. This species is hardy and can stay in the soil over winter if not too moist. Or the corms can be lifted in late autumn when flowering is finished, stored in a cool dry place and replanted in spring.
Pack of 10 seeds. Sow in spring or autumn. Flowering starts in the second or third season. Sowing instructions and a colour photo are printed on the packet.
