Mexican Sunflowers are showy border plants, similar to Dahlias and Zinnias in appearance. This ‘Goldfinger’ variety grows to a height of 70-100cm, with large single orange-gold flowers in mid to late summer, typically July to October. Plants have a bushy and upright form, and the tall flower stalks make good cut flowers. Pollinators love them.
Mexican Sunflowers grow best in a sunny spot and not-too-fertile well drained soil. They are drought tolerant once established.
