A darker leaved and hardier form of English Thyme, which is a great culinary and medicinal herb. These are attractive and sweet smelling plants, with small dark green leaves. Plants have good robust growth, reaching a height of about 30cm, with pale pinkish flowers in mid-summer. They can be grown in pots and in the garden, making good edging plants.
English Thyme grows best in sun and well-drained soil. It can be kept indoors and out. For cooking, the leaves can be used fresh or dried and are great for seasonings and stuffings.
