Flowers June to August/September
Height 20 - 40cm
Spread Plant about 10cm apart
Conditions  Sun, fertile well-drained soil and plenty of water
Sow

Sow in autumn/winter in small pots of compost in a cold frame or greenhouse.  Sow 2 or 3 seeds per pot, about 1-2cm deep.  Seeds germinate in 1-3 weeks.  Pinch out the tips of seedlings once they are established (eg more than 10cm tall) to encourage bushier growth.  Plant out into containers in spring.  Or sow in spring directly into containers.   Autumn/winter sowings flower earlier than spring sowings.

Grow Plants grow in spring, flower in summer and then die in late summer, when they can be removed. Provide plenty of water and fertilize regularly.  Deadhead regularly to prolong flowering.
