A wonderful herb, with masses of attractive reddish purple flowers from June right to the end of summer. Plants grow to a height of about 30cm and look great in herb gardens, pots or borders. Betony attracts lots of pollinating insects.
Betony grows best in full sun and well-drained soil. It can be grown as a medicinal plant and the young leaves make a good herbal tea.
Pack of approx 100 seeds. Sow anytime, typically spring to autumn. A period of cold treatment is not essential but can improve germination – either sow in autumn/winter or place in a fridge for two weeks. Sowing instructions and a colour photo are printed on the packet.
Seeds are grown in Cornwall.
