A great dwarf variety of English Lavender with aromatic leaves and flowers. This variety has the deepest blue flowerheads from June to September, held on sturdy stems that face towards the direction of the sun. Hidcote Blue has a Royal Horticultural Society Award of Garden Merit.
This is a great plant for most gardens, from the herb garden to low hedging along paths, to pots and borders. Plants grow to a height of 30 – 50cm. The leaves and flowers can be picked for drying, and the flowerheads can be used in teas and for cooking.
Lavender ‘Hidcote Blue’ thrives best in a warm sunny spot and in well drained soil. It attracts many pollinating insects.
