A lovely variety of Southern African Crocosmia with orange to red flowers in late summer. Plants grow in clumps of iris-like leavers, with spikes of flowers from July to October. This is a very good late summer border plant, growing to a height of about 60cm. It does not need staking, it only needs tidying up once a year and it will spread naturally, but not invasively. The flowers last well in a vase.
Crocosmia prefers to grow in sun to part shade in rich free draining soil. Free draining soil prevents rotting of corms in the winter. Plants grow naturally into clumps and flower best if divided in the spring every 3-4 years.
Pack of 30 seeds. Sow spring to autumn. Germination is erratic and can take up to two months. Sowing instructions and a colour photo are printed on the packet.
