Cosmos ‘Bright Lights’ is a vibrant and easy to grow annual. It is a mixture of single and semi-double flowers in attractive shades of yellow, orange and red, and looks fantastic in a mixed border or containers. Plants flower from June/July to October, growing to a height of about 70cm. They are excellent cut flowers.
Cosmos sulphureus grows best in full hot sun and well-drained soil.
Pack of approx 850 seeds. Sow indoors in spring or sow directly in the ground once all risk of frost has passed (May to June depending on where you are in the UK). Sowing instructions and a colour photo are printed on the packet.

| Sow |
Sow indoors from March to June in moist seed compost to a depth of about 10mm. Keep at room temperature and seeds germinate in 1-2 weeks. Pot on young seedlings and harden off before planting out after the last frost. Or sow directly in the ground May to June (after the last frost) in cultivated soil. Rake over and seedlings emerge in 1-3 weeks. Water and fertilize sparingly. |

Pinch out tips of seedlings to encourage bushy plants. Deadhead during the summer to prolong flowering. Remove the plants in the early autumn once they have finished flowering. |
